Market Overview

Learn how events, markets, outcomes, and order books fit together

Prediction markets are organized as events containing one or more markets. Each market has tradable outcomes backed by its own order book.

Events organize related questions; markets are the units you trade.

Example“Election 2028”“Will Candidate A win?”

Most markets are binary, with Yes and No outcomes. Sports and other deployments may use labels such as team names or Up/Down, but the payout logic is the same: the winning outcome settles to $1.00 and the others settle to $0.00.

What you see on a market page

  • Rules and resolution source — what must happen for each outcome to win
  • Prices and chart — current implied probability and historical movement
  • Order book — bids and asks available at each price
  • Activity — recent trades and market updates
  • Order panel — outcome, order type, size, estimated cost, and fees

Read the rules before trading

Similar titles can have different dates, thresholds, or resolution sources. The market rules—not the title alone—determine the winning outcome.
